Seeqa is the mobile version of Mana Chita Ethiopian Restaurant in Coffs Harbour. Since 2012 Seeqa has been serving food at festivals and markets along the mid north coast of NSW. Our menu is drawn from the many ethnic groups in Ethiopia including Oromo, Amhara, Harari, and Somaili making for a diversity of flavours, from super spicy curries to savoury filled flatbreads. THE SPICE TRADING COMPANY

The vibrant colours, exotic tastes and heady aromas of the ancient spice market in Old Delhi are the inspiration behind The Spice Trading Company. I had visited the spice market as a footloose wanderer journeying across the continents exploring the sights, sounds and flavours of the world. Some years later, as a stay at home Mum with a young son in my life, recollections of these earlier experiences remained vivid and they motivated me to recreate these flavours for both of us to enjoy at home. CHEESE LOVES YOU

Have you ever wondered how milk turns into cheese? From the simple haloumi to the more challenging Romano and cloth bound cheddar, Debra Allard will guide you through the process from start to finish. You make your own cheese to take home using local milk and enjoy a home made morning tea and a locavore light lunch at the Burringbar Hall (Northern NSW) for $140 per person per class. Debra is continuously updating her cheese making skills and knowledge by attending workshops and visiting cheese factories to learn new techniques and connecting with other cheese makers.  Private classes can also be booked for friends, family or work functions. Blushing Blueberries is a newly established Organically Certified Blueberry Orchard at Talarm on the mid north coast of NSW.  We believe in nurturing our plants and soil to provide the most nutrient dense, tastiest, most healthy food possible while protecting and enhancing our environment. We make and sell Blueberry Cordial, Dessert Sauce (Blueberry Drizzle), Freeze Dried Blueberries, Jams and Jellies direct to our customers and are adding new products all the time as demand grows.  All of our Blueberry products are made with locally grown Blueberries and we source other ingredients locally as much as possible, which helps support others in our region.

NIMBIN VALLEY DAIRY

Nimbin Valley Dairy is located just outside Nimbin in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.  Kerry and Paul have been farming there for nearly 12 years and making goat and cow milk cheeses and yogurts for about half that time.Both Kerry and Paul grew up on dairies in the region and both come from long lines of dairy farming families, in excess of 5 generations as far as they can trace. Initially they started with goats that  had been purchased as weed eaters.  They did such a great job of controlling weeds (a constant problem in high rainfall areas with fertile soils) that when a local dairy goat herd came up for sale they bought it, and added it to there existing cow dairy. Initially they started making simple fresh goat cheeses and some marinated cheeses, that are still sold through local farmers markets. Distributors and restaurants were still wanting access to their cheeses so they started making a range of cow milk cheeses.  This was the beginning of their White Cow, Smooth Cow, Blue Cow and Washed Cow. In May 2015 they took over Byron Bay Cheese Company and Byron Bay Butter Company. All cheeses are hand made on the farm at Nimbin, using the fresh milk daily to make a  wide range of goat and cow cheses, milk and kefir and yogurt.  Cheese are distributed from Cairns to Sydney and they attend  9 farmers markets a week.

ZEST BYRON BAY

About 11 years ago Bay Seafood, Byron Bay’s local fish store, wanted to expand its retail options for their regular customers. So Satise a dedicated staff member introduced his inherited flavours of Nepal to the shelves. When friends introduced the flavours to us 5 years ago, Pob the chef and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to create a family business that could sustain our lifestyle and community living in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. Starting with the Zest Byron Bay Spice Pastes, Pob slowly developed the Curry Blends whilst testing the flavours amongst friends, local retailers and markets until we were ready to dedicate our time to expanding and sharing our gluten free flavours across Australia.

KURRAJONG DOWNS VINEYARD

Nine kilometres east of Tenterfield (just a 6-minute drive), on the Bruxner Highway to Casino, is “Kurrajong Downs ” vineyard restaurant, a perfect place to visit. Named after the kurrajong trees on the property, and its origins as part of the original Barney Downs Station, it is a vineyard with cellar door wine tasting and sales.Lynton and Sue Rhodes invite visitors to relax on the viewing deck overlooking the vineyard, and sample their fine wine.

WOOLAWAY WINES

Woolaway wines is Morees first cellar door sales vineyard. A beautiful boutique winery producing premium wines from grapes produced in the New England/North West region of New South Wales. Woolaway Wines, Moree’s 1st cellar door wine sales vineyard, was founded in 2001 in the Hunter Valley by two school mates who were looking for a new business venture.
